"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." - Pele

Cynthia Newell | Vice President

Hi, I’m Cynthia!!! I get the honor of teaching through writing as a Learning and Development writer for Charter Communications Inc. In my role, I create educational how to guides and product knowledge articles that support front line representatives with providing world-class customer service.

As a leader, mentor, and coach, it is my highest honor to show others how to give their best while pursing and accomplishing their personal and professional goals. Being a Lean In Circle group leader allows me to lead eye-opening discussions that encourage women to push beyond their perceived limitations and to be unapologetically ambitious.

With a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development and a master’s degree in Leadership, I aspire to help the organizations, associations and communities I am a part of achieve their performance goals through strategic alignment and resource management.

"No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world." -John Keating

Whether through poetry, a motivational talk or leading meditation sessions for colleagues, it is my daily intention to use my words and presence to inspire others.

Tonya Rawls (NAMIC St. Louis Treasurer)

Tonya Rawls | Treasurer

Hi! I’m Tonya

After earning my BA in Business Administration, I obtained a Master of Education degree at Lindenwood University; due to my strong desire to help increase others. I planned to work in schools and organizations that promoted positive development. Life had different plans for me, and thanks to my BA in Business, I had options for my career.

After a few years of exploring educational ventures, I decided to work in the corporate world. I discovered that here I could also inspire elevation. 20+ years and counting, I’m still motivating and elevating within my professional pursuit.

I am currently a Sr. Business Analyst with Spectrum’s Mobile Operations department. I’ve been in telecommunications for the last 5 years, and I believe I have found my niche. I am also a NAMIC board member, as this opportunity allows me to devote time to creating, collaborating, meeting new professionals, and elevating others.

ELEVATE: raise, upgrade, lift up, promote, boost, brighten…” I’m obsessed with all things that promote elevation.”
